Why Network Marketing

By Reg On September 5, 2007 Under Network Marketing Tips

What are the benefits of having a network marketing business?

I’ll touch on 10 benefits and/or reasons why you should consider network marketing as a business.  But first, let’s define what network marketing is.

First off, network marketing is a sales business.  Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not.  You are either selling a product or a service that you believe in.  That’s why it’s important to research and join a company that you believe in.  It is as simple as finding something you love to do and doing a lot of it as well as sharing it with others.

Let’s begin with the benefits of having your own home based network marketing business.

1. Small risk:

There is a certain amount of inherited risk involved when you become an entrepreneur.

We are confronted with losing money, wasting time, not being in profit right away, etc. In a traditional brick and mortal business, the startup cost associated with opening that business is what holds many people back from becoming the creators of their own destiny.

Most people do not like risk and try to avoid it by all means. We all want a “guaranteed bet” and stay within “our safe zone”. However, as an entrepreneur, you don’t eliminate risks you learn to minimize them.

The advantage of starting your business in a network marketing business is that the risk to get started is relatively small. You can get started with a company of your choice, marketing products that you consume already, or enjoy for as little as a couple of hundred dollars can get you started with. The amount of financial commitment is very small compared to that of traditional business.

2. Big demand for quality products:

There are many network marketing companies that promote outstanding products. If I were considering a company to get involved with, I would always ask myself:

Do I believe in this product and the people in charge?

Do these products bring any benefits to a consumer besides the opportunity to make money?

Would I enhance my customers’ lives if they consume these products?

Every business needs repeat customers. Distributors only get paid when they have consumers for their products and when these customers continue to consume, then that creates the money flow.

3. Residual passive income:

I am sure that you have regular payments of your gas, electricity, water, and your phone bill every single month. These are the types of services that provide an ongoing stream of residual income for the companies who provide you those products.

The greatest advantage of network marketing is that it gives you an opportunity to enjoy residual income just like those companies do.

When the initial effort of getting a new customer is completed, you can enjoy the residual part of that business relationship because they will continue to consume and enjoy that product or service.

4. Big income potential:

You can create your own salary as there is no cap to how much money you can generate. In corporate jobs, the big limitation is that regardless how hard you work your income is tied to a salary for someone with your skills.

Network marketing is completely different—you to decide how much you want to earn. You can make as much or as little as you want.

Once you have the training that makes a successful network marketer, you can write your own ticket based on your dedication, perseverance, and your willingness to help others achieve their goals.

Once you learn how to properly market, you can market anything you choose and generate the income you seek.

I believe this is one of the most important skills you can have as a network marketer because without it, you don’t have a business.  Learn the proper ways to market and generate money at will in any business you choose.

5. No employees:

One the great benefits of network marketing is the no overhead of having employees.  Network marketing is about people—people independently working together.

Having no employees means you can build your business right from home in the corner or garage—who cares. You’re afforded that added benefit because everyone is independent, but are working towards a common goal.

6. No inventory:

This is a misconception that has given network marketing companies a bad image for years.

However, modern companies have capitalized on the technology and tools that have been developed to make building your business simpler and easier than 10 to 15 years ago.  Today we have:

· VOIP

· The Internet

· Drop Shipping Ability

· Leads(business, consumer)

· Teleconference Lines

· Web Conference

· High Speed Internet Access

Having no inventory means you’re much more mobile and agile and can function in any market condition.

7. Low operating Costs:

As previously mentioned, you can begin and sustain your business with a few hundred dollars.

I’m sorry to say this, but most upline don’t know how to market their business.  You’ll hear many people who’ve not make it in network marketing say that you must be on the ground floor in order to make any real money.  I would say yes and no to this.  You certainly can more money quicker if you were on the ground floor.

However, you can still make money quickly even if the company is a few years old if you know the proper way to market.  Now there are uplines who do have the knowledge of leveraging the internet to build their business by using the funded proposal method.  If you don’t know what this is you definitely need to take a look at the link that will be provided in the resource box.  Learn how to make money even if your prospects don’t join your business.  Re-read that again!

8. Leverage:

Your MLM Program is a:

-people business

-leverage business

-sales business

-business of helping others create businesses.

As one of the top network marketers also say, you keep what you give away.  Help someone else achieve their goals and you’ll achieve yours.  You get to reap the rewards by leveraging the efforts of those you help. Create “win-win” relationships.

9. Portability:

Businesses are portable now more than ever.  Technology makes things almost instantaneous and you can achieve more now that you could 15 years ago.

You can make yourself transparent to your customers/downline using VoIP, cell phones, and autoresponders.

You can stay connected as long as you can access to the Internet via DSL or Cable, your computer, and your phone, and continue doing business no matter what else you’re doing.

10. True freedom:

Imagine achieving the lifestyle you’ve always wanted through a productive business in network marketing utilizing the proper marketing skills.  When you understand and have all the pieces in place, the life of a marketer can be very fulfilling.

They key to all this however, is the understanding of these concepts that I’ve just outlined.  The other part of it is to know why you want this business and your reasoning must be bigger than yourself.  It is always more than just about you!  It is not just the money, but the fulfillment of a lifestyle that makes network marketing a great business to pursue and develop into the leader to make it happen.
